Zažil jsem hranice. Oficiálně je soudruzi nazývali hranice mezi Táborem míru
a světem imperialismu. Ale i když jsme projížděli hranicemi států Tábora míru, bylo to za účasti ozbrojených strážců. To ponižování, ta bezbrannost! Režim založený na ozbrojené moci a strachu v každodenním životě padnul. Nezapomenul jsem na ten život. A užívám si svobody. Až ve svém vysokém věku se jezdím podívat na kulturní historickou tvorbu řady generací, tedy na to, co jsem měl vidět v době svých studií. Těší mě, že mí vnuci, mluvící francouzsky a anglicky, cestují volně po světě. Těší mě, že se neztratí, naopak prosadili se. Važme si své Svobody.
I experienced borders. Comrades officially called them borders between the peace camp and the world of imperialism. Even when we were crossing the state borders of the peace camp countries, armed guards were present. What a humiliation and vulnerability! The regime based on forces and fear in everyday life collapsed. I have never forgotten that life. I enjoy freedom. Only now when I am older, I travel to see the cultural historical heritage of generations which I ought to see during my studies. I am glad that my grandsons, speaking French and English, travel the world freely. I am glad they won't get lost and that they have their way. We should treasure our freedom.
